Aurora

Aurora Aksnes born 15th June 1996 Stavanger is a Norwegian musician and songwriter. Her debut E.P. Running with the Wolves has been released by Decca Records and was well reviewed by various music websites. She has recorded several high-profile covers, such as Half the World Away (by Oasis), from the group Oasis) for John Lewis' Christmas advert and Nature Boy (by Nat King Cole) and were widely appreciated. Katy Perry's endorsement of the song Runaway via a blog post brought the singer additional recognition. Make it a day to celebrate her birthday. Aurora Aksnes' earliest memory of music was discovering a grand piano that was in the attic. The piano was fascinating to her its capabilities. Jan Oystein Aksnes and May-Britt Aksnes encouraged her to learn music, not for a job or a hobby however, as a chance to improve. She started writing her own songs. Bjork as well as Leonard Cohen are among her favourite songwriters. Her mother had told her the songs she composed could be used to not make her famous rather to help individuals to recognize the value of themselves and their impact in our world at large, she began singing them in public. She began playing the piano at the age of six, and began creating music when she was nine. The family did not have any idea about it until she reached the age of fourteen. Aurora never dreamed of becoming a star. She claims that she enjoys composing music. According to her, she believes that music can help anyone feel better.
